So I did my first volunteer work for Habitat for Humanity. The house was in Fort Worth and the main thing we did was landscaping. Boy it was hard work in some serious hot weather. It was fun though and I may go it again.
We met the new owner and she was very nice. She brought us some water, soda, and snacks. Very sweet woman. If you haven't done anything like this, you should try it at least once. Very nice.
I have two more volunteer programs coming up in September and October, if they do not cancel.

That's awesome! I did some volunteering w/ the H when I was in college....wouldn't mind doing it again now..save for the horrendous heat. What prompted your volunteering?
