So I have my pre-operation appointment in which the doctor informs me that I might also have a torn anterior ligament, which will require a different surgery and about 6 months of physical therapy. He won't know for sure until he goes in and removes the torn cartilage. I hope nothing else is wrong and I can return to work very, very soon.
After the appointment, I had to go down to the labs and get some blood work & an EKG done. I first arrive at admitting (as instructed) and they send me next door to GI Labs, when I told them of the two test they direct me to Outpatient Registration, which is downstairs. Mind you I am on crutches.
I get down to Outpatient and they tell me that they only handle EKG the GI has to do the blood work. I told them that GI said that you guys can do both. They knew I didn't want to go up stairs and back down, so they managed to get both tests done at outpatient and I got out with in an hour.
Now I have to wait for the surgery, which I am kind of nervous for, but I will have Jenny there with me. I know it's just my knee and the procedure is only one hour long.
Hope with me that there are no more problems with my knee. I need to return to work.
Later.................
This is my general blog or journal. I will pretty much speak my mind of talk interesting things I ran into and most likely, politics (A Centrist View). This is brought to you by SNSW Studios. And now...........

IR: Da Results
So, finally got the results of the MRI and I have a torn cartilage in my left knee. I will need surgery to have it removed. There might be other issues, but we shall see after the surgery.
Now it is time to fully focus on the move. We are very excited and hope things go well.
Wish us luck.

IR: Magnetom
So last night I had my MRI test. If you are not familiar with this, it is a high intensity 3D scan mainly to pick up anything that a standard X-Ray or Cat scan could not.
I have to thank Jenny so much for taking me to the exam and treating me later to a Sonic Blast. Mmmmm Mmmm!
The machine was extremely loud, but I didn't have to deal with it for that had some very nice headphones and allowed me to have music paying during the procedure. I also lucked out in having only my knee scanned because I am not Claustrophobic, but I think a freak out might happen if I was in there head first. Hopefully we will never find out.
The procedure was a series of scans range from 5 to 9 minutes long totaling 45 minutes. Again the music and headphones really helped.
When it was all over my back and neck was killing me. My knee was still weak, but not as bad as the rest of my body for a short period of time. Hard, flat tables with one not so soft pillow really suck.
Now I have to wait until Monday to see what the results where and what the next step will be.
Hoping for the best.

IR: Follow Up Visit
So, as you know my injury happened again. I went to the office for my followup appointment and the doc was not very welcoming. It seemed like I was waisting his time in the visit. I don't know. Anyway, I have to have an MRI done on my knee to see what is going on and if I may need surgery. This will happen this upcoming Tuesday. The following Monday I have the follow up appointment with the ortho to discuss the results of the test.
I hope no surgery will be required and my recovery will be quick. I the meantime I am ordered to no work until the November 19th. Sucks!!!!!
Hope that all will be well.

Down & Out
So, My knee was doing better with me on restricted duty. It was doing well for 5 days until it decides to give out. Man I was pissed off. I just don't need this now, but I do need to take care of it.
So, I have a follow up appointment the doctor's tomorrow and now I think an MRI will have to happen. Hopefully we will see what is going on.
Pray that it is not too serious.

Injury Reserved
So I am on my first day or working on an NSO (the one project I was looking forward to) I injure myself. I badly twisted my knee and is on injury leave until the Orthopedic Doctor can clear me.
Kind of sucks because I hate sitting too still while so much in going on at work and home. Oh well.
I also have to work with Workers Compensation, which I hope won't give me too much trouble. We shall see.
Thursday I have my appointment with the knee doctor so an MRI can be done and they can truly see what is wrong with my knee. I hope it's is nothing serious and I can return to normal at work as soon as possible.
Right now I am on crutches and pain meds. Please help me hope for a speedy recovery.

Gated Community: Ramming Speed
So, I am home one weekend and my brother-in-law was out helping a friend on something causing him to come in late. So Naomi (Sis-in-law) stayed up waiting on him when she witnessed a crash in the front entrance of the complex.
A car stopped at the key panel at the main gate and was working to get the gate open when a Big Red Truck appears to it's left. It sits there for a bit then starts to pump up it's engine. Shortly after, it runs forward and rams the gate. It then backs up and rams the gate again causing the gate to break open and stay open.
What a bastard. Total disrespect of other peoples property.
Now they removed the damaged gates and I think they are either repairing them or replacing them. We shall see.

Final Stretch
Man it is almost over. Starting Sunday we will hit the final week for the Tyler remodel. YEA!!!!!!!
It was a rough process especially with this final team working with us, but we are making it through. Shortly after that we will be opening up a new store in Garland, TX with another team. Pretty nice. It will also be good to return to days.
Happy times ahead, except for the moving later in November.

Middle Of Nowhere
Hey folks. I know I know it has been a looooooong time since I've blogged and I am sorry. Part of it is that I am traveling to Tyler, TX for a full store remodel. This project is 5 weeks long and we are now into our fourth week, thank God. We had the pleasure of having this project with a second team supporting us through the process and it really did help. We worked with three different teams because no one team can stay no more that 2 weeks.
The first team was from Austin, TX, Team Jeane. It was great to see them because it included a few friends I haven't seen in over a year. They work worked great with us and even with a few hiccups with the dumpster folks we when ahead of scope.
The next team to work with us was from Central DFW, TX, Team Talbot. This was the team I was applying for a promotion in two different position and was denied twice, but they still wanted me to join. The catch was that it was only a lateral move, which means no pay increase, no full promise of a promotion. Of course, I denied the offer. I'm happy with my current position on my current team. They only stayed with us for a week, which sucked and we still stayed ahead of scope.
The final team to join us is Team Maxwell from Houston, TX. I knew no one from this team. They are currently with is for the last two weeks and it seems like I may be a little rough, but it also seems like we won't fall behind because it can work their asses off. The down side is that it is a team full of too much talent and too many leaders. Lots of talking and telling each other what to do, but they do get the job done quickly so this project should end well.
Well that is the short form of that past 3.2 weeks. I will try to blog more. I promise.
