Well, well. This film was scarily interesting. Th bear attack was to close and real for comfort and the various battles against the tribe that were hunting them was intense. I can see the reason why Leonardo get the many nominations for this movie, but I feel that Tom Hardy was even more convincing in his role. Overall this movie was amazing and I highly recommend folks to see this film, in theaters if possible. BTW, the French in this film were dicks!
Grade: 9/10
This is my general blog or journal. I will pretty much speak my mind of talk interesting things I ran into and most likely, politics (A Centrist View). This is brought to you by SNSW Studios. And now...........

President Obama Speaks on Advancing Equal Pay
Lilly Ledbetter to whom the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act that became law under President Obama (1st bill to become law), spoke to the people with humility and thanks. She sounded wonderful and I truly enjoyed her deep, deep twang accent. Shortly after, President Obama announces new steps to advance equal pay for women.
I do feel that we should have more equal pay. There is really no other reason, except for merit, that it should not happen. There is too much discrimination and favortism in the workplace. Things must continue to adjust and change. Let's make that happen.
Check out the video or just audio if you like.

Cruise Radio on Stitcher Radio Network

Me and my wife loves to travel and our latest form of travel was cruises. We seriously enjoyed them. There are some details of each of the three cruises we did in earlier entries in this blog. After our second cruise I had discovered CruiseRadio.net on the Stitcher Radio Network. This channel was great as I would listen most of time as they would give updates on the cruise industry including changes in protocol, fleet changes (renovations, new ships) and port changes. They also featured cruiser's testimonials. Very, very detailed. My wife wonders why I listen to this show especially since we have not been on a cruise for 3 years now, but I just enjoy the show and hope that one day we can return to cruising.
Anyways, check out an episode of this show by clicking the box below and see what you think. I will try to update when a show is new by having a link on the right column so check in from time to time or you can just simply go to CruiseRadio on Stitcher and check out their latest episode. Alright, enjoy the posted episode and like I said, if you like it, keep checking for new episodes here and there. Happy Cruising!
7th Republican Presidential Primary Debate Hosted By Fox News
The Presidential Race Schedule for February is updated (Right Panel).
This is the Republican Presidential Undercard Debate. Debaters include Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum and for the first time, Jim Gilmore. It was a pretty passionate. Gilmore was showing frustration because it seems like he felt like he was being ignored. Fiorina and Santorum was showing a lot of anger. Huckabee just continued to tell stories and making analagies. It was an ok debate. A lot of talk mainly about abortion and Planned Parenthood. I think they are pretty mad about what happened in the courts in Texas where it didn't go as planned.
Check out this video with moderators Martha MacCallum and Bill Hemmer.

On to the Primetime Debate was a bit more complex especially with out Donald Trump there. Trump, BTW, decided to boycott the event because Fox News refused to remove Megyn Kelly from moderation. What a big baby.

National Spouses Day
National Spouses Day is observed annually on January 26th. Dedicated to recognizing spouses everywhere, this day reminds us to take time for our spouse. From being thankful for fulfillment and security of a long-term relationship, to the boost of morale and well-being provided by spouses, there are many reasons to celebrate. This day is a time to show your spouse that you care and appreciate all of the things that he/she does for you and for the home.
TV Review - Cutthroat and Funny
This was another cooking show that my wife started watching on Netflix. It was pretty much the most interesting cooking competition reality show I have ever seen. The main premise like most cooking shows is to make the best tasting and presentable dishes for the host and the judges to try out and the one who is the most impressive wins, but wait there's more. A difference in this show is that the contestants get some money before the competition starts and they can use that money while cooking to barter off something the host presents that could be a disadvantage for their competitors. That to me is the interesting part.
I also find it entertaining (some episodes) that they do so much trash talking. I don't remember the chefs talking to each other as much while cooking as the chefs on here did. The host, Alton Brown is pretty funny and sarcastic, but in a good way. He is also the host of Good Eats, appears regularly on Food Network Star and Iron Chef America. Like I said before, the shows are interesting, but I don't think I can follow the show religiously. This will pretty much be one of her shows. If I walk in the room while she is watching the show, I will most likely will finish an episode with her. Maybe even start an another one.
I could not find a preview of the show, but here is a full episode (hopefully it will stay). Check out the actual show on Food Network or Netflix. Also visit the Cutthroat Kitchen Website.

A Centrist View - Oh Stacey
Oh Stacey. I used to like you. Hell I loved you back in the day. You weren't among the top notch actresses, but you beauty holds no bounds. You still are brautiful, but then like most celebrities, you start to open your political mouth. I am not saying you shouldn't voice your opinion, but my goodness, I did not foresee you going the way you went in politics.
You joined Fox News. When you speak you join the right or white and speak against your own people. You try to speak like a person who is seeing both or all sides, but it does not come off that way. I am not sure where your true mind is, but it was just not what I expected. Not that probably was my fault. Assuming what people should turn out to be instead of just waiting to see what happens and not be too surprised. Then try very hard to understand where they are coming from. I try very hard not to assume, but it is very tough.
Oh well Ms. Dash. I will say you are a beautiful woman with a bangin' body, who is of the extreme right and just roll with it. Just please do not go as crazy as Ann Coulter. Good luck on you new career.
Live Long & Prosper and May The Force Be With You
P.S. We are keeping BET (even thought I don't really watch it) and Black History Month. We need to continue to recognize the differences in the United States of America, because the diversity in this nations is one of the major things that makes this nation beautiful.

A Centrist View - Republicans Freak Out
Well I could have told you this myself. There is a big reason why these guys are ahead in the polls. The majority of the people who are involved in these polls are the extremes (Right and Left). They are also growing to become the most involved in politics. What can the "mainstream" Republicans do to combat this? I'm not sure if they can do anything. Maybe try to get move of the Independents/Moderates/Centrists or even Libertarians to sway your way, but not too far right to Trump or Cruz.
I am not too concerned. I already know who I will vote for in the Texas primary. I am prepared with my voters registration card, which I just received an updated one earlier this week, and my driver's license.
I'll say this. Just wait and see how it is after Iowa and New Hampshire. Just be for Super Tuesday in March. Then determine if you should start to freak out. Polls only mean so much. The Primaries/Caucuses are what will truly matter. JUST MAKE SURE YOU ALL GET OUT AND VOTE! Regardless of your party affiliation (If you are affiliated. Me no.). That is why I like primaries and why I will never live in Iowa or any of the caucus only states.
Peep the video if you like.

Introductions
Hello everybody! We are Da Crittaz, Tyson and Violet. Daddy has decided to make a blog for us and we will post some of out adventures in the family and in the world. Since this blog is about, we will most likely be typing in the third person or something (Wakka Wakka, trademark Fozzie Bear). We will figure it out.
I, Tyson am a Black and White, Short-Haired, Chiweenie. For those who never new, a Chiweenie is a mixed of a Chihuahua and a Dachshund. I came to his current at the age of 4 months because the previous family was concerned that I would be jealous of the new baby and might hurt them. Can you believe it?! I was originally going to be sent to a shelter if no one would take him in with in a month. A friend of my current family told them about it and they sprung into action. They took me in 2006 and I have been with them ever since. I was born on March 13, 2006 and I am going to be 10 years old this year. Very exciting.
When I came home I met my brother, Lucas (Grey Tabby Cat) any sister, Bella (a Black and White Long-Haired Chihuahua). Man did I drive those two crazy, but we did have fun. Lucas later moved out to our cousins, the Fulghams, because they wanted a cat and a kitten was to rough for their baby. So Lucas was a good choice, especially since he was getting tired of me. Bella is no longer with us for a much sadder reason. She had a bad misunderstanding and caused her to leave this word. It was so rough not to see her again that I now sleep in a couple of her beds because the smell reminds me of her. Now we have Violet and she drive me crazy. She lay on me, lick me constantly and chases me all over the place. So exhausting. I guess she's in it for the long haul.
And now, here's Violet.
I, Violet, am a Tan, Long-Haired, Chihuahua from Middle Texas. I was born on September 9, 2012 and had my first litter a year later. I love those kids so much that I would break out of my own cage just to be with them. My owner decided that I should get a new home and in comes my new mommy. My old sister, Bella, left this world too soon in May of 2014. Shortly after, my mommy found me and fell in love. She came on down and scooped me up. I have been in the house and met my new brother, Tyson. He game me a kind of tough welcome, but I made sure he knew I was here forever. GET USE TO IT! They tell me that I am similar to my sister, yet pretty different. We are both princesses, but she was very prissy and I am a bit gruff. I give everyone a lot of love, but they tell me that I need to kind of tone it down. It's kind of hard to do.
So that our introduction. Sorry that was so long, but there is so much more we have not talked about, but throughout this blog we or may be even some of our friends/family will be posting entries here and there.

Podcasts! I Love 'Em!
So over the past five years I have become an avid podcast listener. I listen to formats like educational, comedy (usually explicit), sports, news and entertainment. They have turn from an alternative from music while driving or tasking around the house, to the primary source of auditory entertainment.
I would like to share with you my Top Ten All-Time Favorite podcasts I listen to on Stitcher Smart Radio: Radio On Demand.
10) Christopher Titus Podcast: Comedian Christopher Titus along with Bombshell Rae and Willie "Jello" Johnson take no prisoners as they try to make sense of out of the insanity behind today's headlines. Titus takes a smart, aggressive stance that is never unbiased, always unbalanced and unhinged. Check the itunes reviews.
9) Star Wars In Character: Join us each week as we discuss the lesser known Star Wars characters that often get overlooked. If you are a Star Wars die-hard, you will love the “Star Wars: In Character” podcast!
8) BrainStuff: From the HowStuffWorks network, BrainStuff is a podcast that explores the world around us in an attempt to use science to understand everything from the internet to how scratch n sniff stickers work.

7) The Math Dude: The Math Dude makes understanding math easier and more fun than you ever thought possible. Host Dr. Jason Marshall provides clear explanations of math terms and principles, and his simple tricks for solving basic algebra problems will have even the most mathphobic looking forward to working out whatever math problem comes their way. If you're getting ready to take the SAT, GRE, or any of the other standardized tests; or if you're going back to school and need to brush up on the basics, Math Dude's Quick and Dirty Tips to Make Math Easier will strengthen your fundamental skills and help you understand the language of math. And if you just want to calculate the tip without using your iPhone and impress all your friends, his tips and tricks are for you too.
6) StarTalk: The StarTalk podcast features comedians, scientists and celebrities discussing the intersection of science and pop culture with host Neil deGrasse Tyson, astrophysicist and Hayden Planetarium director. New on demand episodes weekly.

5) Sklarbro Country: Sklarbro Country features Randy and Jason Sklar as they give their weekly comedic takes on the worlds of sports and pop culture. You don't have to know about sports to enjoy it, as long as you like silly puns and great comedians.
4) Meet The Press: NBC's popular news talk show Meet the Press with moderator Chuck Todd in on demand podcast format. Each episode delivers insightful interviews with the newsmakers of the week. New episodes published weekly on Sunday.

3) NPR Hourly News Summary: This turned into my news source that brings me four to five snippets of the current news stories from the past hour. I usually start off my day with this podcast and go back to it every time I re-enter my vehicle or just need something playing in my ears. Great source to start off for news and then you can research later on through any source for details.

2) Hollywood Babble-On: There's no business like HO business. Ralph Garman is the guy you never listen to on morning radio. Kevin Smith is the guy who makes movies you never go see. And yet every week, they have the balls to make fun of their TinselTown peers during SModcast: Hollywood Babble-On! Enjoy this great podcast on demand in weekly installments.

1) Ten Minute Podcast: W'PPRECIATECHA! Created by Will Sasso, Bryan Callen and Chris D'ella. This is just about these guys just talking about anything that comes to mind. Will Sasso tries had to keep the show in order, but fussy Bryan and stuffy Chris makes it very hard to keep out of chaos. Throughout the years, as the fellas got more busy with other projects and stand up touring, Will would bring other friends from his past including, Tommy Blacha, Chad Kultgen and Bobby Lee. They will also introduce characters like Chank Smith, David Greco, Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, etc.

I felt overall the debate went very well. The candidates had similar goals and discussion points, but they also had a few differences in issues amongst themselves. The moderators did well, but I was not please (like with previous debates) how they kept time from Governor Martin O'Malley. I am not saying that I would have voted for him, but I feel he should have had as much attention and time as Clinton and Sanders. At the end, I felt Lester Holt made a crappy move towards O'Malley, but oh well.
Like I said before it was a well done debate and I look forward to see how they do in Iowa and New Hampshire.
The Republicans have a debate scheduled for Thursday, January 28th at 8pm CT. I am sure there will be 2 again. It's hosted by Fox News Channel. The moderaters will be Bret Baier, Megyn Kelly and Chris Wallace. This will be their last debate before the Iowa Caucus.

Back On The Saddle, Again
Alright folks. It is about that time to return to the grind, again. I am returning to school, but I will only taking one course back at Tarrant County College. I will be taking Introduction to Sociology. This was a suggestion from my wife who has a profession in Social Work. She thinks I will love the class and maybe will open my eyes into a new field. We shall see.

The main reason for this course of action is to see how my processing ability is since I had gone through treatment. I hope I will do well, but the only way to know is to test it. I am also working on thing back at UTA to see what course of action to take there and see what I need to do to fix my Statistics class grade.
So wish me luck. This shall prove interesting.

A Centrist View - Fox Business Presents The 6th Republican Presidential Debate
The 6th Republican Presidential Debate hosted by Fox Business.
The Under card Republican Presidential Debate featured those who polled under 5%. They include Carly Forina, Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum. Ron Paul was also to be part of this, but he bowed out because he was pushed from the primetime debate and decided to just keep campaining.
Forina starts out with a nice stab at Clinton and Trump and had a good opening statement. Huckabee does a story of a struggling worker showing his version of how the economy has not improved. Santorum, like Huckabee, also jabs at Obama's SOTU. He only give tributes to South Carolinians job growth and states the decline of jobs in the U.S.A. to overseas.
Questions categories were Foreign Policy, National Security, Gun Control, Visa System, The Economy and more.
The Moderators were Trish Regan and Sandra Smith
As for the Primetime Republican Presidential Debate, it was a fairly verbal debate with the highlight being Trump and Cruz going at it, which makes sense since they are the top two in the polls. The biggest issue was Cruz eligibility for the Presidency. He was born in Canada.
Enjoy the debate with contenders, Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, John Kascih, Marco Rubio and Donald Trump
Moderators were Maria Bartiromo and Neil Cavuto

A Centrist View - State Of The Union 2016
Watched the President Barack Obama's final State of the Union Address (SOTU). It was good. He actually did the address the way I felt it should be done. Updating everyone oh now the country has done over the seven years and proposed ideas for the future. He didn't just state future idea for his final year, but the next five years.
I have saved snap shots of the address: SOTU '16 Photos @ Becauseimwil
If you haven't seen the address or if you want to see it again, click the video below.
Here is an enhanced version of the address with stats posted. Very impressive.
Here is South Carolina's Governor, Nikki Haley with the Republican Response to SOTU.
Also have a nice, funny treat from Jimmy Kimmel showing how some people will act like they know and understand what is going on.
Oh and I almost missed the Tea Party Response from some one I am not sure whom anyone heard of. His name is Wayne Allyn Root. *shrug* He now serves as the opening act to Donald Trump rallys.
Enjoy.......

TV Review - Making A Murderer
This was a series that I had hear a lot of people rave about, but I was kind of hesitant because of my bizarre mind set that somethings have enough attention so it does not require mine. Then all of a sudden my wife brought it up and wondered if I was interested. My response was "Eh, but if you want to check it out, I will watch it with you."
So we started watching the show and it became a binge. It was very intriging and invilved. For the most part it looked very one sided, but I can also see the problem child that Avery could be. Who know how everything will turn out for this man, but the process was truly screwed up.
Check it out if you like documentaries that could draw you in. Here is a trailer. Show is only on Netflix.

Dave vs Wil - Paddle Ball Challenge
My Grandma Crouch bought Uncle Dave and I some paddle balls. Given my uncle's competative nature, he decided to challenge me to see who can hit the ball the most. During the match, I noticed he created an advantage for himself. Sigh, Minnesotans. LOL!

Gindal, Graham And Pataki Out!
So three more Republican presidential candidates are out of the race for the Republican Presidential Nomination. Bobby Gindal, Lindsay Graham and George Pataki. I will admit the only one I am a bit bummed out about is Lindsay Graham. I know that he is a bit too passionate, but he is for real. Also I felt he would have been a great president for foreign policy.
Oh well. Eleven Candidates remain. Will any more bounce out before the Iowa Caucus? Very curious to find out.
Here are the upcoming major political events for January 2016:
Tuesday, January 12 - Presidential State of the Union Address @ 8pm
Thursday, January 14th - Fox Business Republican Debate (Undercard @ 5pm CT, Primetime @ 8pm CT) in North Charleston, South Carolina
Sunday, January 17th - NBC News Democratic Debate @ 8pm CT in Charleston, South Carolina
