So I haven't updated you homies on my knee condition so here it goes. I am currently going through physical therapy and it is getting better through each session. The therapists are pretty nice and cool, but they make sure you do all the exercises need to be done. The worst part of the sessions is when they physically work on your knee. Digging down trying to loosen the muscle and breaking up the scar tissue among other things.
I have to go through 10 sessions and the I have an appointment with my knee surgeon. Hopefully I will get a clean bill of health.
Wish me luck.
This is my general blog or journal. I will pretty much speak my mind of talk interesting things I ran into and most likely, politics (A Centrist View). This is brought to you by SNSW Studios. And now...........

IR: Dr. Jekyll.......I don't know......
So we return to the doctor's off for my post op appointment and man was this guy very different from before. He was in a very good mood and was very informative. We told him that we are not too concerned with workers comp possibly covering the torn ACL surgery because we would just work on getting it covered under our own insurance, which we let him know that he was not on. He then stated that he was on it and almost immediately left the room to look up online to confirm he was on it and he was. Even gave us a copy of the page from the insurance site.
It was also so odd that he even stood/sat next to me while talking to me. Before he seemed very distant. Jenny and I just found him just very weird or he was just happy that Friday was here. I don't know.
Either way the surgery was confirmed to have gone well. He showed us some pictures of my knee with the loose cartilage and the torn ligament (COMING SOON). He and the radiologist feels that the torn ACL is an old and sports related injury and they strongly believes that workers comp will not cover it, but he also feels that I may be able to return to work in full force without the ACL, but we shall see after 2 months of recovery from this past surgery.
I have 2 weeks of PT coming up so continue to wish me luck. I hope to return to work soon.
At least I'm off the crutches now!!!!!

IR: Aftershock
So my surgery finally happened and it seems like it went well. My first night home though was kind of rough as I was going through nausea and dizzy spells. I was handling the pain better than that.
The doc is still saying that I may have a torn ligament, which will require a different surgery. He says that this injury is pre-existing because doesn't believe it could have happened with me just walking and making a slight turn. So, he says that workers comp will not go for it, meaning they won't cover it. He wasn't very nice to us when stating this. We believe he has some major resentment towards worker comp patients.
I have my Post Op appointment tomorrow with him and all we basically need to know is what else is really wrong and what steps I need to take to get things right.
My experience at the hospital was great, but my surgeon's attitude was terrible. We shall see what else we need to do and move on.

Fall Review 2007
So I have picked up a couple new favorite shows this fall, but I'm not sure if I will keep them all.
Some definite keepers are:
Michelle Ryan plays Jaime Sommers, a young woman who is thrown into a life of being a special agent of a private security firm while trying to take care of her troubled sister, Becca (Lucy Hale). She was monitored by whom she thought was her fiance and after a major accident created by Sarah Corvus (Katie Sackhoff, Starbuck of Battlestar Galactica), the original Bionic Woman, she was made into the new Bionic Woman.
I love this show. I was not sure at first because remakes of shows usually doesn't go well, but this one along with Battlestar Galactica is going very well. I definitely recommend anyone check it out. Go to nbc.com to see full episodes.
Another show I like is:
Charlie Crews (Damian Lewis) is a cop who became an convict of 20 years is cleared due to a mishap in the trial. As a settlement for wrongful imprisonment the city gives him several million dollars back and per Crews' request, returned to the force. He is an exceptional detective and a keen eye for detail, but also hold a strong eccentric side. He hires Ted Earley (Adam Arkin), who was also in prison for embezzlement/money laundering, to manage his finances. Go figure. While working on the various cases from his precinct he is secretly working on his own case to figure out what happened with the bank robbery that cause him to go to prison.
Charlie Crews reminds me of Detective Goren of Law And Order: Criminal Intent. Brilliant and Very Weird. This is a good show to at least check out. Episodes are also available on NBC.com.
From the makers of Men In Black, Barry Sonnenfield & Bryan Fuller brings a show about Ned (Lee Pace), humble pie maker, who has a very special, he can resurrect and dead person, but they can only be alive for one minute for if that minute passes someone else must die, usually someone in close proximity. Now the one who is resurrected and not put back to rest is still not safe for Ned cannot touch them again for the will die. Only two important things in Ned's life has to suffer this, his dog and his childhood friend, Chuck (Anna Friel), who he is falling in love with.
I love this show because of it's dark tone with dry and weird comedy. Emerson Cod (Chi McBride) and Lily Charles (Swoosie Kurtz) are my favorite characters on the show. The rest of the cast includes; Ellen Greene, Kristin Chenoweth, Field Cate, Sy Richardson, and Sammy Hanratty.
Definitely worth seeing.

IR: Pre Op
So I have my pre-operation appointment in which the doctor informs me that I might also have a torn anterior ligament, which will require a different surgery and about 6 months of physical therapy. He won't know for sure until he goes in and removes the torn cartilage. I hope nothing else is wrong and I can return to work very, very soon.
After the appointment, I had to go down to the labs and get some blood work & an EKG done. I first arrive at admitting (as instructed) and they send me next door to GI Labs, when I told them of the two test they direct me to Outpatient Registration, which is downstairs. Mind you I am on crutches.
I get down to Outpatient and they tell me that they only handle EKG the GI has to do the blood work. I told them that GI said that you guys can do both. They knew I didn't want to go up stairs and back down, so they managed to get both tests done at outpatient and I got out with in an hour.
Now I have to wait for the surgery, which I am kind of nervous for, but I will have Jenny there with me. I know it's just my knee and the procedure is only one hour long.
Hope with me that there are no more problems with my knee. I need to return to work.
