Out With My Sis

.......In-Law. Well my day was kind of short and sporadic so I took my sister-in-law, Naomi and her man, Stephen to the hospital for Jay Lynne's appointment. It turn into a long visit because the office only had one nurse practitioner and they new saw the doctor. They only did a few vital checks and then after an hour they did blood work. That part of the day took 2.5 hours.

After that we took Stephen & Jay Lynne home and went to Human Resources to take care of some business with the insurance. It was only supposed to be an half an our, but it was another 2.5 hours spent there. The case worker was out on lunch and she told Naomi to just wait and when she returns she will immediately help her. In the meantime, folks would have to pick numbers to get help from the office. A hour later a woman in a snow cap appears and informs Naomi that she has to take a number. I was thinking "Bitch you best help her now." It was basically nothing she had to take care off. To cut the story short she finally got what she was looking for.

I wasn't pissed that we were out for so long, I was pissed because of the lousy service the medical & human resource staff provides. Communication is the huge problem. I understand some services are at the mercy at the state funding, but at least they can help the people better and take their anger out on the state.

It's just sad.

News Update

Well Naomi had her baby at 6:30am this morning. It is a girl, her name is Jay Lynne and she weight a little over 8 lbs. Jenny was the first one back to the Hospital. I showed up a couple hours later after work. We then saw the baby and she is so cute with chubby cheeks. She was very sleepy so we did see her eyes, but we plan to return tonight to see them again. Jenny took plenty of pictures so I will show you them later.

Tyson is doing better. He was very resistant on taking the Pepto, but jenny came up with a solution that worked. She mixes the Pepto with water and adds rice to it. He shoots for the rice but has to intercepts the Pepto water on the way. It must be working because he is pooping better and has not vomit today. He also is back to harassing Lucas again. Very good news. We hope this continues.

Good News/Bad News

Well the good news is that Naomi (my sister-in-law) and Stephen are heading to the hospital to have their first child. She is pretty excited and scared, but I'm sure it will go well. Jenny is very excited because this is her first niece on her side (she has plenty on my side). Wish them good luck and pray for them.

As for the bad news, Tyson (one of our dogs) is not feeling well. He is vomiting and has diarrhea. It is very scary giving that funds are too tight for a vet visit for Jenny used her power of research and for a possible home remedy. We give him a tsp of Pepto Bismol every 4 hours, do not give him food or water for at least 24 hours, and after that time frame give him a little water and some rice. I will update on his condition. Pray for him.

Day Of Rest

Well somewhat rest.

As I stated before we were going to meet up with the Butterfieldsfor breakfast, but they just headed back to Upper Wisconsin.

So we just chilled for a while until we decided to see a movie at 5pm in Rochester. The movie was called Arthur & The Invisibles (1.5 Stars). It was pretty entertaining, but moved in the oddest pace I have ever seen. It had a huge all-star cast including Jimmy Fallon, Robert DeNiro, Madonna, Harvey Keitel, Snoop Dogg, Anthony Anderson, Emilio Estivez, Chazz Palminteri, Jason Bateman, Mia Farrow, and Freddy Highmore (Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, Finding Neverland) as Arthur.

After the movie we went to Carlos O'Reillys for dinner. First time for me at that resturant as I had some Margarita Chicken Fajitas (also for the first time). Maaaaaaaaaaannnnnnn it was gooooooooooooooood. I mean really good. I think it was the red & green peppers that got me.

We later got home and saw that the weather was pretty calm at the time so it is hopefull that tomorrow will go well.

Again pray for us.

Remembering Garth

The day started off well as Jen, Connie (Mother-in-law) and me went to the church early to make preperations for the memorial service. The rest of the family arrived shortly after.

It seemed like things were going off without a hitch until we were informed by the pastor that the projector that was going to be used for the DVD slideshow we created had crashed, but an hour later they found a solution and we ended seeing the video while having lunch in the dining area downstairs.

We hung out down there for a good while then left to the hotel where the Butterfields (Connie's sisters & parents) were staying. It was fun there. We took the extra food in and talked for several hours. There were a lot of small sandwiches left over from the lunch, which we helped in shrinking the numbers (especially David & Seth). One of the big subjects we went into was how there was no cheese for the sandwiches until after everyone ate. Can I just say I love Grandpa Butterfield.

We left for home, watch Little Miss Sunshine (Good movie, check it out), and went for bed.

Today we were surposed to meet back with Connie's family for breakfast, but it is snowing pretty good and grandpa wanted to get on the road so it was cancelled. Oh well we could use the relaxation and hopefully I'll get to see some football. Giving that there are 3 TVs, 2 in the closed off rooms of Jenny's siblings, everyone in the main room and not huge football fans (especially Jenny) I don't think football will happen (Go Saints & Colts). Wish I owned a portable TV. Live and Learn.

The only concern I have is the weather condition flying back home Monday Morning.

Pray for us.

Memorial Eve

Not much to report from yesterday. The wife, her mom and sister, Erin went to Rochester to do some major shopping (or at least time consuming) and came back with some nice stuff.

In the meantime, Seth (Jen's brother), David (Erin's husband) and I just hung back and got bored. We conversate a little and then burried our heads in books, TVs, computers, etc. Not very eventful, but relaxing. Better than shopping for 5 hours.

We then chowed down on some pizza and went to bed.

Today we are going to the church to remember Garth L. Crouch. I will be good to see the rest of the Crouch, Holton, and Butterfield Clans.

Road To MN

Well we made it to Minnesota and it was me and the wife's for plane trip together in the 7.5 years we were together. Being together was fun........seriously, but the trip there was kind of interesting.

We though we were going to be delayed out of Dallas, but we actually left a little early. We flown the Airbus of NWA (No The Other NWA). It was pretty comfy except for my knees. Thank God it wasn't a full flight.

1hr & 45 min later we are in MSP airport with the 2hr layover to connect to Rochester. We munched down some breakfast grub at Friday's, which was pretty tasty then proceeded to our gate. At the gate there was the attendent there, who decided to disappear 15 minutes before we board and finally reappeared 5 minutes before we were surpossed to take off. Dumbass. I'm sure she won't get in trouble for it. It didn't matter though because we circled the airport for 20 minutes (I guess because of delays). We made it to Rochester in 15 minutes and had lunch with Connie and Seth at Famous Daves (Good Food).

Chilled at the house for a few hours and the everyone crashed at 7PM...........man I have not been to bed that early ever, but me and Jen were up since 5am Wednesday with a small nap here and there.

Now we are off to do preperations for my father-in-law's memorial service.

Do You Know Me

Alright folks. Heather did this personality profiler from Johari and it is interesting to see what you view yourself as and how other view you.

I'm pretty sure other folks will pick something very different that what I pick, but we will see.

Here is the link:

It would be cool if you do it. I'm very curious.

Humble

2 Stars
Fern (Dakota Fanning) is one of only two living beings who sees that Wilbur (Dominic Scott Kay) is a special animal, while she raises him--the runt of the litter--into a terrific and radiant pig. As Wilbur moves into a new barn, he begins a second profound friendship with the most unlikely of creatures--a spider named Charlotte (Julia Roberts)--and their bond inspires the animals around them to come together as a family.
I honestly was not sold on this movie, but it was done well following the book. It seemed like everything was covered. It got pretty corny here and there. The only character I enjoyed was Steve Buscemi as Templeton. Julia Roberts was nice as well.
It's okay to see, but was not worth the cinema. Very overplayed with big name actors.
